Why Volunteer with Us?

Israel Elwyn is the leading non-profit organization in Israel providing services to people with disabilities, from toddlers to seniors, over 40 years.

As an Israel Elwyn volunteer, you become part of a community that supports people of all ages and abilities. Your presence helps create a daily environment that fosters independence and a sense of belonging. Our volunteers support individuals in developing skills, engaging socially, and taking an active part in community life with confidence and self-expression.

Volunteers at Israel Elwyn gain valuable experience, perspective, and personal insight through meaningful service. Many share that the connections they form here stay with them long after their volunteer work ends.

Why Volunteer with Us?

"Volunteering with Elwyn in Israel was the most transformative year of my life. I came to help others, but I think I learned more from them about resilience and joy than I ever could have imagined."
"The sense of community here is unmatched. You are supported every step of the way by the Elwyn staff and your fellow volunteers."

Early Intervention Programs
Work with young children at a critical stage of development! Our early intervention programs support toddlers with developmental delays and/or autism aged six months to three years old, providing rehabilitative services and comprehensive care during the first years of their development. The programs, which are operational in several cities across the country, follow the same agenda as regular preschool education programs, but also incorporates professional therapies to help support critical early development, including occupational, speech, and physical therapy. Your involvement can make a lasting impact during these formative years.

Supported Living Services
Our supported living services provide individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities aged 21 and above the opportunity to live in shared apartments within the community, with locations in Jerusalem and Herzliya. Residents take part in daily routines that reflect independent life, such as working in the community, attending job training programs, or participating in adult day centers based on their preferences.

In the afternoons, residents enjoy recreational and social activities of their choice, fostering connections, confidence, and personal growth. Volunteers play a key role in supporting daily life, encouraging independence, and building genuine relationships.

Your involvement can help provide individuals with the support, tools and opportunities to lead fulfilling lives and become active members of their communities.
